Completion of the Course
The course consists of theory and practical placements in at least one aged care or home and community care service. You must complete practical placements and the assessments to be deemed competent in the units.
Students are placed in nursing homes and aged care facilities for practical placements. Placement duration may be in one week, two weeks or three weeks block. A full 8-hour working day is required.
